i love ke$ha's music, but have you heard her live?
quite frankly, she sucks.
her voice is edited to the extreme.

Lady Gaga is my favorite Electro/Dance artist because she can actually sing without having her voice edited. Listen to her as Stefani Germonotta and her cd Red and Blue.

Uffie and Ke$ha are both awful to me.

1. Ke$ha is just as bad as crunkcore...or Screamo Rap (Oh my ears...)
2. Uffie is a lovable person that is fun that actually works with real musicians whereas Ke$ha is snotty for an untalented career that will end real soon (Hopefully tomorrow)
3. Justice is untouchable, if you want a comparison, listen to Uffies "Ready to Uff" and the idiotic three year old spelling "Tik Tok"
4. To be fair, neither are anything special with their songwriting, Uffie didn't wanna do the whole music thing at first so I can understand why the lyrics are outstanding but Ke$ha actually tries and fails more than the Zune at her music.
5. I'd party with Uffie, least I wouldn't come home with multiple STI's the next morning.

similar yes, don't know if that warrants a witch hunt or not but who cares really? musicians have been ripping each other off for hundreds of years, during the 50's and 60's african americans created an original rock/jazz/blues sound that nearly EVERY other white american/european rock band of the same period took a bite out of. there were even law suits won over this. the beach boys ripped off a song of chuck barrys(to the letter almost) and he won a lawsuit against them. in this particular case i don't think there are enough similarities for it to hold much validity, im sure ke$ha may have had some influence from uffie but like i said almost EVERY musician/singer/song writer rips off someone from somewhere... there isnt a musical note/chord/drum pattern/lyric/octive that hasn't been played/written/sung before, it's just all on how you arrange the different elements to make it have the appearance of being original.

As for the similarity of "The Party" to "Tik Tok", frankly, the narrative common to both songs is practically an archetype. Many young women who like to doll up, go dancing all night, and be rowdy and wreckless, would tell their story in essentially the same way.

Kesha's voice and songwriting is better, she’s more versatile, and she has a much better sense of humor. For these reasons, I find it hard to believe Kesha copied Uffie.

Kesha has written (yes, herself) over a hundred songs of a wide variety of genres over many years, has recorded and released many of them into the public domain. They’re on a wide variety of topics, mostly banal and occasionally profound, but always humorous and self-deprecating. Uffie has also written songs over many years, but they’re far fewer, and are weak and lyrically often clichee. She sings about one thing: about how much of a bad-ass Lolita chick she is. Moreover, Feadz does all the musical work, whereas Kesha actually *writes* *music.*

Kesha has sung on all of her songs, in many different styles, from punk to country — without the use of Autotune, but with extensive use of a vocoder, for effect only. Kesha’s voice has tremendous range. Uffie, on the other hand, chants in one singular, nonvariable style only. Whereas Kesha presents a wide range of expressions, Uffie has only one presentation: bad-ass Lolita. However, Uffie also does make use of a vocoder from time to time.

Kesha doesn’t take herself seriously. You can tell as much from her music and she’s even said so herself. She says that “there’s a pop-song in every situation,” and from this it’s plain to see that she writes music for fun. She could’ve done much more with her life, having had near-perfect SAT scores and an admission to Columbia, but, as she’s said she’s chosen to do the one thing she’s wanted to do since she was little. Uffie, on the other hand, seems to take herself much more seriously. In fact, there’s no humor in her music.

Kesha is a writer of pop music, whereas Uffie works only in the Paris club music scene. Automatically, there's no comparison. But, without her sheer-sexy-Lolita-hotness and without Feadz, where would Uffie be? Kesha, on the other hand, would probably be where she is now, no matter what her circumstances were.

Oh yeah, blatant obvious ripoff. Common, if she wasn't would everyone keep talking about it? Uffie was so cool back in the day.. Ke$ha is the capitalist response.. big industry trying to cheaply cash in on something awesome and, as a result, ruining it.

i think so too, uffie's the party has been on my ipod for ever, then kesha came out with tik tok and i was pissed because it seemed like no one noticed how alike they sounded. people just danced and stuff to a rip off. then again i let up about it and finally listened to kesha's other songs. i don't really think she did it on purpose, just listen to her other songs, they sound so original.
