Bon Iver – Blood Bank

So, all of my friends have been peeing their pants over the indie band Bon Iver, and until tonight (this morning, really), I’ve yet to actually listen to them.

Blood Bank is pretty much how an EP should be. Short, tidy, and a good approximation of the artist with a bit of “new” on it. Taking a quick listen of other Bon Iver material confirms that this EP fits the bill.

Woods” is the bit of new on this album. For those Kanye fans out there, it makes heavy use of vocoder, but, surprisingly, isn’t that annoying.

My favorite, however, is probably the title track “Blood Bank“. It sort of reminds me of a Kings of Leon song (the name escapes me right now).

If you liked Bon Iver’s other albums, definitely pick this one up. It’s a good, mellow listen.
